The Elliptical Kicked My Butt

The Elliptical Kicked My Butt

Who knew that gaining 50 pounds during pregnancy and not being able to work out would have such repercussions!! I should have known. I did the elliptical the other day and my only goal was to do it for 20 minutes. Boy was I defeated! I made it 10 minutes before I had to stop. You would have thought someone beat me with a bat. I was huffing and puffing and my side hurt. I was a little disappointed that I did not make it 20 minutes but it was literally my first time to really work out in awhile. This Sunday I am starting couch to 5k. I think this is going to be a perfect way to get back into running again. I am so excited about it and can not wait to share my experience with you guys!

Yesterday we went to visit a friend who just had her baby. We decided to take her lunch as well. So my eats were as follows:

August 11, 2011-

Breakfast- Green Juice (2 apples, 2 oranges, 1 cup kale)

This turns into this:

So good!

Lunch: Chick-fil-A Southwest Chicken Salad and I had the fat free honey mustard dressing!!

For dinner we signed up to take our friends a meal who just had a baby! So we grabbed dinner on the go. We had Little Caesar’s Pizza. It was good and I enjoyed every slice I had! I will not lie I had 4 slices. It was my cheat day!!! Then for dessert I had 1/3 cup of Ben and Jerry’s coffee ice cream with heath junks! Oh my, this is my new favorite ice cream!! I do not have picture of my dinner or dessert but they were so good!

  1. A friend taught me while at the gym to aim for 7 minutes per activity and if I have the stamina to do a 2nd 7 minutes. It's a great way to keep it fresh.
